Crossway Counseling Solutions is owned and operated by Adrienne Forney, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor. Crossway Counseling Solutions began as a single operating private counseling practice in 2016. As time progressed and with the chronic stress that our society is faced with, Adrienne understood that she would need to expand the practice to help meet the mental health needs of individuals and families. As the owner, she is dedicated to providing high-quality therapeutic services to clients and creating a balanced, supportive work environment for her staff of highly-skilled therapists.
Adrienne is a graduate of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling in 2014. She specializes in addiction and she has many years of experience working with men, women, children and families concerning a wide variety of mental health issues. Adrienne previously counseled former female inmates with co-occurring disorders of substance abuse and she currently works with individuals and families that struggle with depression, anxiety, sexual abuse and anger management issues. She enjoys working with couples to assist them with strengthening their bond. Adrienne utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques which includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques and motivational interviewing.
Adrienne holds the North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Supervisor (LCMHCS) license which allows her to provide clinical supervision and guidance to counselors in training. Additionally, she is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCAS-A), demonstrating her expertise in addiction counseling. Adrienne holds the South Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license, which enables her to offer therapeutic services across state lines.
Carrie Colon, MS, LCMHC, NCC, CCTSI
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor
Carrie is a nationally certified counselor committed to helping people learn how to process through the issues of life. She has over 20 years experience in the counseling field helping adults, teens, and families in crisis, as well as military families. Carrie is licensed in North Carolina and she holds additional certification as a National Certified Counselor and Trauma Informed Counselor. Carries appreciates you for allowing her to take part in your counseling experience. She is a firm believer that we are all a work in progress and she is here to support and help you. She will be your biggest cheerleader! Carrie understands that she is human and flawed just like anyone and she is dedicated to providing a judgment free environment. Carrie’s therapeutic approach envelopes an integrated holistic framework that includes evaluating how all aspects of your life affect your mental health. She is passionate about her work in helping people navigate life.
Carrie’s counseling services will address concerns or issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, shame, self-esteem, self-image, wellness, spirituality, grief, gender/sexuality, couples/family, conflict resolution, boundary setting, intimacy, anger management, career guidance, life transitions, and more. She believes it’s important to always have goals for therapy with her clients so that she can continually assist you in working toward those goals and assess progress along the way. As a counselor, Carries works as part of a wellness team and can make referrals as needed.

Alexus is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and National certified counselor in North Carolina with 9 years of professional work experience. She believes in a holistic approach to mental health, integrating mind, body, and spirit. Alexus has experience helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and abuse. Additionally, she assists clients with improving their motivation to make positive changes, self-esteem, confidence, and addressing issues with perfectionism.
